Feeling lost and weary amidst the madness that is midterm studies, last-minute paper writing, and finding time to fit in all those readings? Feel the need to go on hiatus and get away from said madness? Or trying to procrastinate but without the means to do so? Roll through KASY’s first study break of the year, 쉬는시간 (swi-neun-si-gan: passing time between classes in Korean schools)! Try out traditional (but nonetheless fun) Korean games — yuttnori and ttakji — and munch on some Korean snacks, too. Stop stuDYING for an hour, and come through!
On behalf of the Asian American Students Alliance, we invite you to a retreat focusing on community building and workshops related to exploring identity/what it means to be Asian American! If you have ever questioned or wanted to learn more about the intersectional aspects of your identity, here is the place to be! Our goal is to provide a comfortable space where we can talk about serious, wonderful, vulnerable, and complex aspects of our lives while having lots of fun with good company. There will be a talent show and afterparty following the retreat, starting at 7. We want to stress that EVERYONE is welcome, and meals will be provided.
